Munich Paper Models
Munich brings the Allianz Arena, home of FC Bayern, with its striking illuminated facade.
Architecture in Munich
One model comes from Munich so far, and it is not a tower: the Allianz Arena in the north of the city. The stadium opened in 2005 and holds about 75,000 people on league days. Its skin of air cushions can be lit from inside, in red when FC Bayern play at home.
What to watch out for when building
The arena is a good first model for children. It has no tall walls that must stand upright, and the oval base still goes together when one edge is not folded exactly. If you like, glue colored tissue paper behind the facade and put an LED tealight underneath.
