New York City Paper Models
Two towers from Manhattan: the Empire State Building and One World Trade Center.
Architecture in New York City
Manhattan gave the skyscraper its popular image, and the two models from the city stand at opposite ends of that story. The Empire State Building opened in 1931 and held the height record for 40 years. One World Trade Center opened in 2014 on the site of the destroyed twin towers.
What to watch out for when building
Both models reward a steady hand at the top. The Empire State Building has a stepped crown and a mast, the slimmest parts of the sheet. One World Trade Center tapers along its whole height, so check that the eight triangles meet before the glue sets.

Empire State Building
One of the most recognized buildings in the world! The Empire State Building is attracting more visitors than any other skyscraper worldwide. Have you been there yet?

One World Trade Center
One World Trade Center is the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex. The skyscraper is the tallest building in the United States at a height of 1,776 feet (541 meters) and features a publicly accessible observatory.
